tips

Tips on how to
talk to youth

DON’T wait for your kids to approach you – consider starting the conversation.

DON’T hesitate to ask the questions:

  • How do you feel?
  • What are your friends thinking and talking about?
  • I’d be interested to know what you’re thinking.
  • Validate your child’s feelings. Be patient and supportive – don’t interrupt, judge, or criticize
