New Policy – Protect and Prevent – defining inappropriate boundary invasions and duty to report child abuse and how to respond to student disclosures of abuse.

Project Shield is a continuously evolving program to increase the safety and security of our students.
Project Shield will develop an open environment for discussion regularly with employees and volunteers. It will also encourage and celebrate positive professional relationships that are the foundation of our school system.

talk to youth
DON’T wait for your kids to approach you – consider starting the conversation.
DON’T hesitate to ask the questions:
- How do you feel?
- What are your friends thinking and talking about?
- I’d be interested to know what you’re thinking.
- Validate your child’s feelings. Be patient and supportive – don’t interrupt, judge, or criticize
